White, Yellow, Orange, Red: Awareness That Keeps You Safe
Whether you’re downtown or out near the Stockyards, the skill that keeps Fort Worth folks safest is noticing trouble before it reaches them. That’s the color code:
- White — Unaware: distracted and oblivious. Okay behind a locked door; a liability in a parking lot.
- Yellow — Aware: calm but paying attention to who and what is around you. Your everyday baseline.
- Orange — Alert: something’s off — a person, a vehicle, a feeling. You focus and plan your options.
- Red — Alarm: a genuine threat; you act on a plan already made. Prepared, not frozen.
The aim is fluid movement between levels, not living on edge. Awareness gives you what matters most when something goes wrong: time and distance.
