NRA CCW Class

The NRA CCW Course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to carry a concealed pistol for personal defense. It is an instructor-led course suitable for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience, delivered start to finish by an NRA-certified instructor in both a classroom and live-range environment.

Students develop the defensive mindset and the fundamentals of safe concealed carry: the NRA rules for safe gun handling, presenting the pistol from concealment, marksmanship fundamentals, stoppage clearing, and the legal and ethical responsibilities that come with carrying a firearm in public.

Depending on the material covered and range time, the class can range from 4 to 16 hours, but generally fits into a single 8–10 hour day. Bring eye and ear protection, a serviceable handgun and holster, and a concealment garment. Final qualification standards are confirmed on the range with your instructor.
